Is Voltiway free?
Yes. Downloading it and using the map, the filters, the navigation and the community reports is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases.
Do I need an account?
Not to explore the map: open the app and you see the chargers right away. You only need an account to contribute —report a charger's status, leave reviews or save favorites— and it's free to create with Google, Apple or your email.
Is there an Android version?
There is, but it's still in closed beta: Google Play requires a group of people testing for a while before it lets us publish to everyone. Leave your Google email on this page and we'll send you the invite as soon as we open the next group.
Which charging networks show up?
Every one operating on the island, no matter who owns them: Blink, ChargePoint, VelociCharge, Tesla/Supercharger, SWTCH and local operators. In Colombia also Terpel Voltex, Enel X, Celsia, EPM and ERCO.
Where does the charger data come from?
From Open Charge Map, from the U.S. Department of Energy's AFDC, from data the operators publish themselves and from the Voltiway community's reports. The operating status you see is reported by drivers; it is not a live reading from the charging network.
