Charging guide · Puerto Rico

EV charging stations in Puerto Rico.

From the metro area to the west, south and east: explore Puerto Rico’s charging map and find a stop compatible with your vehicle.

How to find a charger in Puerto Rico

Open the map and explore your destination. Zoom into San Juan, Bayamón or Carolina for metro-area stops, or move toward Ponce, Mayagüez and the east to prepare a trip across the island.

Open each station’s details before deciding. Compare connectors, reported power and available reports. A nearby point may be inside a parking garage, hotel or property with access conditions.

  • Confirm access and opening hours for your visit.
  • Check whether the network requires its own app, account or payment method.
  • Review the information’s status and date, and keep a backup stop.

Your vehicle version and charging port matter

Do not choose a station by car brand alone. Confirm the year, version and original market, particularly for an imported vehicle. The app’s catalog helps you identify your model and consult its data.

Check the physical port and manufacturer instructions before using an adapter. A station’s advertised power does not guarantee the power your battery will receive.

Plan stops before leaving the metro area

For a trip south or west, choose a primary station and a backup before leaving. Use the route planner with a realistic starting battery level and preserve enough charge to reach another station if necessary.

Distance alone does not determine consumption. Terrain, speed, air conditioning and travel conditions can change the outcome. Confirm important stops before departure and check again during your trip.

Check access, payment and conditions

Review the network’s current energy price, parking terms and possible extra fees. A driver report provides context but does not replace the operator’s current rates.

Before you go

Are all map chargers available in real time?

No. Information depends on sources, reports and available integrations. Read the station details and confirm with the network when you need certainty before traveling.

Can I use Voltiway with a plug-in hybrid in Puerto Rico?

Yes. Check your PHEV version’s connector and charging capabilities. Having a plug does not mean it supports DC fast charging.
