Compatibility before power
Connectors can differ between versions of the same model and between markets. Check your vehicle’s physical port, version specifications and the station connector before planning a stop.
This is particularly relevant for imported cars. Do not assume compatibility because of a shared brand or an available adapter: confirm that both the manufacturer and network support the combination.
Plan for the route, not just the distance
When planning a trip from Bogotá to another region, through Antioquia or across the Coffee Region, review the whole route and its charging stops. Similar distances do not necessarily mean similar consumption.
Select your vehicle version and a realistic starting battery level in the planner. Treat the result as an estimate and preserve a margin for detours, weather, vehicle load and changes in charger availability. Do not depend on guaranteed energy recovery downhill.
Electric or plug-in hybrid: check your version
For a PHEV, check charging capabilities before choosing a fast charging station. Confirm AC or DC support and accepted power; a more powerful station does not remove the vehicle’s limits.
